"INSET provided by Sue Cowley has had a profound and significant impact upon developing effective teaching and learning strategies for both new and experienced teachers. Delegates experienced and enjoyed a thoughtful and inspiring presentation about innovative and good practices across all phases of education and training." Peter Hadfield, Education Course Leader, University of Bedfordshire

"I was at your course on Friday in Slough - it was fantastic - YOU are so inspiring.  Your course is like a giant gasp of oxygen when you've been underwater too long!"  Jane, NQT at training event for Slough Local Authority

"An absolutely rocking lecture ... really inspiring and lots to think about ... feeling really upbeat and positive about teaching." Thomas, from University of Bedfordshire training event

"Despite the constraints of working online with a large group of staff, our session with Sue was warm, engaging and full of practical ways to positively manage behaviour through developing better relationships with pupils. The feedback from our staff was fantastic, with the phrase ’best INSET ever’ being used several times. As someone with a well-thumbed copy of Getting the Buggers to Behave, I was delighted to be able work with Sue and would absolutely recommend her if you are considering behaviour management related training." Adam Morton, Mill Hill School, London

Sue is a renowned INSET trainer, who has provided training for teaching and support staff around the UK and internationally, in countries such as The Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovenia, Chile, Greece and Brazil.  Sue's belief is that teacher training must be about 'walking the walk' rather than just 'talking the talk'.  Or, in other words, that as a trainer she must model the techniques that she suggests others should use.  By using real life examples, and making people reflect on their own behaviour and motivations, Sue brings her training to life in a fully interactive and genuinely practical experience.

Sue can offer input on:
  • Positive Behaviour Management
  • Developing Self-Regulation
  • Differentiation and Adaptive Teaching
  • Marshmallows and Traffic Cops: Exploring Motivation
  • Building a Curriculum in the Early Years
  • Developing Thinking Skills
  • Supporting the Development of Children's Writing
  • Creative Thinking for Teachers and Students
  • Behaviour Management Strategies for Parents
  • Metacognition and Independent Learning
  • Voice Usage in the Classroom
